"Hey Hey Hey Hey.....Oooooohooooooooohoooo....Dont, Don't, Don't Don't...Don't you, Forget About Me!"
Anyone, anyone? Welcome to the first light-hearted post since this blog's inception...I dedicate this to my friends of The Breakfast Club! I doubt there are many people on this planet who haven't seen this movie and if there are, I feel sorry for them. This is just an all-around great tribute to the 80's. My favorite character is John Bender who is played by Judd Nelson. He had the most memorable quotes from the film...Nelson definitely played the sarcastic "bad boy" well. It's hard to pick just one favorite quote, but if I had to I would have to say it's as follows:

Bender: What are we having?
Brian: Just your normal everyday lunch.
Bender: Milk?
Brian: Soup...apple juice
Bender: I can read. PB&J with the crusts cut off. Well Brian, this is a very
nutricious lunch. All the food groups are represented. Did your mom marry Mr.
Rogers?
Brian: No, Mr. Johnson
For more quotes from the movie, click here. I was amazed at all the websites out there devoted to The Breakfast Club. I also found one that is strictly a soundboard of John Bender. The IMDb trivia list for this movie is GREAT! One interesting thing it mentions is that Anthony Michael Hall's character, Brian, is dropped off at detention by his real-life mother and younger sister. The funniest bit of info that was included on the trivia site was that the license plate on Brian's father's car is EMC 2. That just cracks me up in general, but it makes it that much funnier since my boyfriend has a shirt that says EMC2. What a nerd...my boyfriend is in the same category as Brian Johnson, the nerd from The Breakfast Club. Gotta love your nerds though...they need love too. For all that haven't seen this movie, I encourage you to rent it today...for those that are die-hard fans such as myself, my boyfriend, and my two sisters...WATCH IT AGAIN TONIGHT! Comment guidance: Who is your favoriate character? What is your favorite quote/part of the movie?

I would have to agree that this is one of the best 80's movies ever. My favorite character is Brian (hmmm)since he reminds me a little of myself :) About your boyfriend, he does really sound like a nerd...what are you doing with him?
I would have to agree with B when he said his fave character is Brian. He is just the funniest guy in the movie. I love the beginning when he's getting out of his car and his mom tells him he better find a way to study! That's pure comedy right there. I love how he is so nervous and geeky and yet he still thinks he's somewhat cool in his own way. Classic! I love when they go through his wallet and find his fake ID and he says that he has it so he can vote! He is so innocent that its hilarious.
I also must say that I agree with B when he asks what you are doing with you loser nerdy boyfriend. I think you should definitely dump him!:)
